Privacy policy

DoseTempo is a medication reminder app. It is made by streffdev (“we”). This policy explains what happens to your information when you use it.
In short: everything you put into DoseTempo stays on your phone. We have no accounts, no servers and no analytics, and we never see your medicines, your doses or anything else you enter.
What DoseTempo stores
To remind you and keep your history, DoseTempo stores the following, on your phone only:
- the medicines you add, their amounts, schedules, tapering plans and notes
- your dose history: when each dose was due, and whether it was taken (and when), skipped or missed
- stock counts, if you turn on stock tracking
- your settings, such as time slots, quiet hours and reminder preferences
- whether you have bought the DoseTempo unlock
This is health information, so we have designed DoseTempo so that it never leaves your phone unless you choose to send it somewhere. It is not sent to us or to anyone else.
Deleting a medicine deletes its history. Uninstalling DoseTempo deletes everything it has stored.
What we collect
Nothing. DoseTempo has no user accounts, does not connect to any server of ours, and contains no analytics, advertising or tracking code.
Permissions DoseTempo asks for
- Notifications: to remind you when doses are due. Reminders are scheduled on your phone; nothing is sent through the internet.
- Alarms and reminders (Android): so reminders arrive at the exact time rather than being delayed by battery saving.
- Camera (optional): only if you use “Scan the packet”. The photo is read on your phone to fill in the medicine’s name and strength for you to check. It is not saved, and it is not sent anywhere.
DoseTempo does not ask for your location, contacts, photos or microphone.
Text recognition
Scan the packet uses text recognition built into your phone: Apple’s Vision framework on iPhone, and Google’s ML Kit (through Google Play services) on Android. The photo and the text read from it are processed on your phone. On Android, Google Play services may download the recognition model and send Google general diagnostic information about how the feature performs; this does not include your photo or the text it reads. Backups, reports and sharing
DoseTempo can create two kinds of file, but only when you ask it to:
- Backup file: your medicines, history and settings, so you can move them to a new phone or restore them. It is protected with a password by default (AES-256 encryption). If you turn the password off, anyone who gets the file can read it.
- PDF report: your dose history, to share with your GP or pharmacist.
You choose where these files go, for example to your files, email or a messaging app. Once you share a file, the app or service you send it with handles it under its own privacy policy. We never receive a copy.
Purchases
The DoseTempo unlock is bought through the App Store or Google Play. Apple or Google handles the payment under their own privacy policies; we receive no payment details. DoseTempo only asks the store whether your account owns the unlock, and remembers the answer on your phone.
Children
DoseTempo is not aimed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from anyone, of any age.
Your rights
Because we don’t hold any of your information, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete on your behalf. You are in full control of it on your phone: you can edit or delete anything in the app, export it with a backup, or remove it all by uninstalling DoseTempo.
Medical disclaimer
DoseTempo reminds you to take medicines and records what you take. It does not give medical advice, calculate doses or check interactions. Always follow the instructions from your doctor or pharmacist.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we’ll update it here and change the date at the top. If a change affected how your information is handled, we would say so in the app before it took effect.
